Heart Math Tutoring Adds Amy Sinclair to Team

July 11, 2016

Heart Math Tutoring (Heart) – a nonprofit group dedicated to helping students in high-poverty concentration schools develop math skills and academic confidence – has hired Amy Sinclair as development director.

In her role, Sinclair will lead Heart’s fund development strategy, including work surrounding foundation and corporate relations and cultivating relationships with funding partners. Previously, she worked at Charlotte Rescue Mission where she managed corporate and foundation relations and was a special events coordinator. She also served as an event planner for Something Classic Catering and Cafés. Sinclair graduated with a bachelor of science in psychology and a minor in Spanish from Davidson College. She is active with the Association of Fundraising Professionals and looks forward to volunteering as a tutor with Heart this fall.

“Amy [Sinclair] is a talented fund development professional who shares our team’s passion for creating opportunity for those in need,” said Emily Elliott, executive director of Heart Math Tutoring. “We’re excited to have her on board supporting Heart’s continued growth, as we gear up to serve 12 schools during the 2016/17 school year.”

Heart Math Tutoring
Heart Math Tutoring is a Charlotte-based nonprofit with a mission to ensure that all elementary students develop the strong foundation in math and enthusiasm for academics needed for long-term success, by helping schools use volunteers as tutors.
